The MSCI India Index represents the performance of large and mid-cap segments of the Indian equity market.

It includes companies listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India and aims to provide a benchmark for international investors interested in Indian equities. The MSCI India Domestic Index was launched on Feb 23, 2015.
As per data reported on May 31 2023 there are 115 constituents on the index.

The largest weight in terms of sectoral holding is of Fianncials, IT, Energy and bottom three are Real Estate, Communication services and utitlities.As per the MSCI factor box, the index majorly comprises of stocks which are lower volatility and lower risk.

MSCI India Domestic Index in its last review on May 31 2023 saw 2 additionas and 3 deletions.Companies which were added - Hindustan aeronautics and Sona Blw Precision.Companies which went out were Indus towers, adani total gas and adani transmission.
