10 Year Indian Gsec is hovering in vicinity of 7.45%. With a series of rate hike expected - the yield could be expected to head towards 8% levels in months to come. The higher levels on Yield will make the long duration play attractive on Debt Mutual Funds. The US Federal rates which now stands at 1.75% , has witnessed rate hikes of 25 bps in March 2022, 50 bps in May and 75 bps in last meeting in June. For July meeting of Fed , 33% probability is doing rounds for 100 bps rate hike. CPI inflation in US has touched 9.10% a 41 year high. Food and energy prices have been main contributors to the high inflation.
